Eldercare - an open source project for clinical measurement scales and summaries / links to guidelines in geriatric medicine.
I have been working on this with colleagues at Royal Cornwall Hospital as an educational tool that can run on any mobile device and (when it is wrapped into an Android or iOS app) can be easily updated and available when there is no network access.
If you are a coder or a medic (or both) then please get involved. We need:
- testing and improvement of the current scales
- ideas for scales to include
- summaries and links to important guidelines
- some clever mechanism (perhaps using local storage) for displaying and remembering options to link to particular Hospital Intranet sites or general resources on the web
- beta-testers for the Android App and (coming soon iOS App)
The source code for eldercare is available on github.
A live preview of the content is available online (best viewed on your phone of course).
